How SceneSort Pro handles information — which, by design, is almost none.
This Privacy Policy explains how CALLIPARI-PERRETT PTY LIMITED (“SceneSort Pro”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information in connection with the SceneSort Pro desktop application (the “Software”) and our website (the “Site”).
The short version: SceneSort Pro is 100% local software. It does not upload your files, send your library anywhere, collect telemetry, or require an account. We have no technical way to see what is in your collection.
SceneSort Pro runs entirely on your own computer. All scanning, filename cleaning, metadata extraction, studio and performer matching, duplicate detection and cataloging happen locally on your device. Your video files, file paths, catalog and backups never leave your PC and are never transmitted to us or any third party.
The studio and performer reference data ships inside the application and improves locally as you confirm matches. No internet connection is required to use any feature.

Our hosting provider may process standard technical request data (such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested) in server logs to operate and secure the Site. We do not use this to identify you personally. We also use Google Analytics on the Site to understand how visitors use it (see Section 4).
Payments are processed securely by Stripe (see Section 5). Stripe collects the billing details needed to process your payment. We receive limited order information such as your email address, license key, country, and order reference — but not your full payment card details.
If you email us, we receive your email address and the contents of your message so we can respond and keep a record of the correspondence.
If you give us your email for the discount, we store your email address, the date and time you signed up, the wording of the box you ticked, the page you signed up on, and a private unsubscribe code. We use it only to send you the 20% discount code, two short follow-up emails about it, and occasional SceneSort tips. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link, or you can email [email protected] and we will remove you. Your email is kept on our own web host, is never sold or rented, and is not shared with anyone else for their marketing.
The Site uses only what it needs to work, plus Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics on this website (not in the Software) to count visits, see which pages and links people use, and learn which sites send us visitors. It sets first-party cookies (such as _ga) and sends usage data, including an approximate location from your IP address, to Google. We don't use it for advertising and we don't sell this data. You can block it with your browser's privacy settings or Google's opt-out add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout). We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. The Site may load web fonts from Google Fonts, which can involve a request to Google's servers.
The Software itself uses no cookies. It only connects to the internet for things you start: licence activation, checking for updates, and the optional AI model download. Your video files, names and catalogue never leave your computer.
Payments are processed securely by Stripe. The seller is CALLIPARI-PERRETT PTY LIMITED (trading as SceneSort Pro). Stripe handles your card and payment details and processes them in accordance with its own privacy policy, available at stripe.com/privacy. After payment, our license server emails your license key to the address you used at checkout.
We use the limited information described above only to: deliver and validate your license; provide customer support; process refunds where applicable; operate, secure and improve the Site; and comply with our legal obligations.
We do not sell or rent your information. We share information only with the service providers needed to run our business — for example our payment processor (Stripe), our email/support provider, and our website host — and only to the extent necessary. We may also disclose information where required by law.
We retain order and support records for as long as needed to provide the service, support your license, and meet legal, tax and accounting requirements. You may ask us to delete information that we are not legally required to keep.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the limited personal information we hold about you (for example under the GDPR or CCPA). To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below and we will respond as required by applicable law. For payment data held by Stripe, you may also contact Stripe directly.
SceneSort Pro is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes will be reflected here.
